I'm Steffy, and I live in my favorite place on earth, Long Beach NY with my two loves & our dachshund. In this space we share our adventures around NY, cozy days at home and tons of outfits! Grab a cup of coffee and lets get to know each other!

This week it finally got a bit chillier. I say finally because I am A FAN of 40 degree weather, it really allows you to have fun being creative in getting dressed! I have buttloads of vintage clothing (or vintage inspired dresses) that seemingly should be put away in 40 degree weather, but breaking the rules is fun, isn't it? I love adding tights and a scarf, and making these dresses work all the way thru until winter!

What are some was you transition your clothes?

  1. This outfit is one of my favourites of your latest outfit combos! LOVE this dress!

  2. The photo with your dress flowing in air is my favorite! With the exception of shorts, I wear all my clothes year-round. I pair all my spring and summer dresses with tights and a cardigan so they're easy to wear in the fall and winter. Plus, I don't think clothes should be solely for one season and not another. It would be a pity to pack away all the pretty clothes!

  3. Love your bright colored sweater!

  4. Super cute style babe!Love the colors~

  5. I love the bright colors in this outfit -- it really brings some cheeriness to the bleak 40 degree weather. Such cold temperatures may be bleak, but as you said, they definitely encourage more creativity style-wise than summer temperatures sometimes do. I love just layering. Knits on knits, colorful tees peeking from under neutral sweaters, lots of socks - those get me through the transitional days. After that, once the temperatures plummet below 30, it's just all about the warmth and less about style, haha.
