one of my favorite parts of attending fashion events is bringing others with me who are not bloggers. the fashion industry, to me, feels like this little world that is so far excluded from reality that it's seemingly mythological until you are there, and in it. i can remember my first fashion event ever, when i worked backstage dressing models, and how chaotic and foreign it felt. now it feels comfortable, yet still extremely privileged, and sharing that privilege with others brings me so much joy.
i brought my sister-in-law dana with me to the andres sarda show and the Tous after party on friday night. the show was vegas themed, and i admit our eyes glistened watching models dressed in sequins and florals, and our favorite-- a full body romper with bell bottoms. i personally have trouble getting "dressed up" for these events, being that i am usually casual, so i grabbed an all black cat ensemble. it works every time!
