big pumpkins & little pumpkins, i just love them all. growing up in my family, halloween was a big deal. every year we went to a pumpkin patch and my two brothers and i each carved our own pumpkin. we always dressed up, and we always trick-or-treated until our pillowcases were full of candy (i trick-or-treated until i moved away for college at 18 LOL). my freshman year in college, i kept the tradition alive by purchasing a pumpkin in union square in NY and walking 15 blocks with it to my dorm just so I could carve it in my hallway. everyone thought i was nuts, but who cares, right? When I went to school in Orlando, halloween was always a big fiasco. i would have different costumes for different nights. it feels sort of weird being a little older and not having as much going on for the holiday, but carving a pumpkin will always be on my agenda. my kids are going to be SPIRITED.
we drove all the way out to homestead to a fun little farm and found our little guy :) i love eating the seeds too! mmm ! hope you all had a lovely weekend, only 3 days til' halloween!
